We had a fantastic first day. It makes me feel so good about our coming school year.
Our group lessons went really well today which also has me feeling pretty encouraged. I didn’t teach that way last year, so this was a little intimidating for me. But, what a difference it made in our day to have Pumpkin (and Cutie Pie) included.
For the first day I scaled back our lesson plans, but here is a summary of our day:
9:30A
Bible Devotions in Pumpkin’s Room.
The children colored pictures while I read from the Bible and we discussed the lessons out of Our 24 Ways and Big Truths for Little Kids. Then they received their bible verse for the week that they are to memorize.
Memorization verse is: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment”
Matthew 22: 37-38

My only regrets are that I didn’t get any pictures with the kids or of the kids on our first day of school. Even though I had them dressed so cute this morning! Oh well, tomorrow is another day and another opportunity.
