Our homeschool is currently in limbo. And I’m not a happy camper.
The new home construction project that we are still in the midst of claimed most of our homeschool year last year and sadly is impacting our current year as well. We are now 5 months behind our original move-in date and though we were to begin moving this coming Monday, that isn’t happening either.
While I know it is only temporary, it is taking us all out of our comfort zone.
Where we once thrived on routine, we are now juggling all our days.
Where we once enjoyed our daily lessons,
we have entire days that pass without a single academic one.
I guess we are focusing on family and life lessons right now.
Please send us your prayers and encouragement.
Thankfully we have co-op and our extra curricular activities to look forward to with certainty.
But the truth is Mama misses teaching and being with her kids.
We miss our home school.
We miss learning together.
We miss our routine.
We are grateful for the blessing of this new home.
But we are ready for this project to end.

The quality of the educational experience that you are giving when you have your daily routines is SO fabulous that I am sure this interruption will not have a detrimental effect. Hopefully you get to move in soon and I guarantee crazy amounts of learning will take place in that new classroom! Good luck with the move! Hopefully we are moving within the next few weeks too!!

You are in our prayers. We spent January until now really adjusting to a cross country move. It has taken toll on our routine and school. My guy felt confusion and loss because we were moving plus no routine he could count on for security. Also he had less face time with me because I had to deal with all the issues of the move. Which led to some behavior issues and acting out.
In order to give us some stability I did morning Morning Devotion and bedtime stories about our family. It gave him the assurance of God's love to start his day and feeling of family at night.
We feel your "limbo" and will keep you in prayer. But there are magic movements in limbo…decorating moving boxes, discovering lost toys and decluttering.
Be Blessed

Hey girl! I love the design! That's the mural I painted in my baby's room! ;0) I copied from that graphic – the trees, the roots, etc. Love it!!!
