I am teaching Journey with Jesus in our co-op. It is a 13-week lesson and we have 17 kids in the class! I feel like a school teacher! Wow, teaching to the masses is very hard! Luckily, our co-op is very hands on and all of the mothers contribute.
During the study we take a 13-week journey through the cities in the bible that Jesus visited. For week 1 we visited Bethlehem, which means “house of bread.”
For the hands-0n project (shown above) the children each made their own “house of bread” in the desert.
I designed a postcard for each city. Each student will use the back of the postcard to write something that is meaningful to them about that week’s study. At the end of our class they will have 13 postcards and hopefully a deeper understanding about who Jesus was.
