Today Cutie Pie went on her first nature center field trip and she was tickled pink, as you can see by the photo.
Our homeschool group went to Sandoway House in Delray Beach for the first time.
They had many interesting exhibits for us to see including a salt water tank (formerly a salt water swimming pool) that had sharks and a variety of fish in it. Our group watched their shark feeding, although none of them were very hungry after our recent cold front. Still, we enjoyed ourselves.
Also on exhibit was a gopher tortoise which made our Tortuga loving 1 year old very happy indeed.
Later we toured Sandoway House’s amazing shell room. There were some fabulous shells that I had not seen before along with a few familiar favorites. It was fun to be able to know their common (and scientific) name.
We had a great time and Cutie Pie behaved so well, she will certainly be invited on another field trip!
