Can you tell the difference between a female and a male Monarch butterfly? It is surprisingly easy! The male Monarch (shown below) has 2 distinct dots on the insect’s hind wings. The female (shown above) does not have this.
As part of our study we are also using our Monarch Butterfly Release chart to track the number of male and female butterflies we release.
